A blank military tag is designed for the identification of casualties, so all servicemen must carry it with them. The order for filling out the American army badge is as follows:
- Surname, First Name and Initial;
- Social Security Number;
- Blood Type and Rh Factor (only indicate positive Rh factor as “POS”);
- Religion (Orthodox, Protestant, Baptist, Catholic, Hebrew, No Preference, Atheist).
In the U.S. Marine Corps, the modern identification badge includes the following information:
- First line: Surname
- Second line: First name and initials
- Third line: Personal number and blood type
- Fourth line: "USMC" alongside the gas mask size number
- Fifth line: Religion. U.S. Marines may have a personal number consisting of 5, 6, or even 7 digits.
The available gas mask sizes are XS, S, M, L, and XL.
